Friday night Welcome Party. Carlberg Hall.
The registration table will be open from 4:30pm. A list of nearby restaurants will be available at registration.

The Welcome party starts 7:00pm. Dancing and conversation upstairs. Singing and music session downstairs. Food and drink served upstairs. Food and drink may be taken downstairs but only water will be served downstairs.

The format upstairs will generally be meet and greet, open conversation. However, every half hour, on the half hour something will happen. That “something” will be either a Rapper Dance or a Kerry Set. For example, at 7:25, the Emcee will announce the 5 names they are drawing out of the hat for a rapper dance. That group will have 5 minutes to go into the kitchen and discuss, music starts at 7:30 and you are on. Or the Emcee might say at 7:55, if you want to learn the next figure of the Irish Set Dance, go over by the piano, and at 8:00 the music starts. Then people go back to conversation.

The Carlberg kitchen has a reputation for tasty snacks. Full description of food and drinks on tap is on the Food page. This is not expressly dinner, but one could make it so. All included with your weekend admission.

Saturday Breakfast and warmup. Acton Folk Center
